The purpose of the IMID “Display Industry Forum” is to explore business issues facing the display industry. We believe there is always uncertainty regarding the outlook for the cyclical display supply chain. In addition, there are numerous technologies currently impacting the near and long term outlook of the display supply chain which also warrant significant attention including large sized OLEDs, quantum dot color filters, micro LEDs and more. As a result, we are proposing the following agenda, which is subject to change, which addresses the near term display supply chain outlook as well as looks into emerging technologies and materials which could significantly impact the display market outlook. It will also examine where there are opportunities for elevated growth and profits in the display supply chain as a result of these emerging technologies.

This session will feature both industry analysts and executives from TV brands and the TV supply chain. It will cover the TV market outlook for units, revenues, adoption of larger sizes, key price points, HDR, 4K and 8K, OLEDs vs. QDs and much more.

This session will feature panel, equipment and materials suppliers and their views on a wide variety of subjects that will drive growth and higher margins. This session will feature presentations from smartphone brands, smartphone market analysts, panel suppliers and other companies in the smartphone supply chain. It will cover the outlook for smartphones, 5G, 18x9 displays, OLED vs. LCD penetration, rigid vs. curved vs. foldable and more. Participants to include:

4:00 – 5:30 Technologies Enabling Next Generation Displays - Foldable, QD CFs, QLEDs, MicroLEDs and more.

This session will feature presentations from companies developing technologies enabling tomorrow’s displays. It will cover executives from materials suppliers, equipment suppliers and more. It will also pay attention to companies solving manufacturing challenges with Micro LEDs. A panel session will also be included. Presenters expected executives from 6 of the following companies:

5:30 – 6:30 – Networking Reception

About Display Supply Chain Consultants(DSCC)

DSCC was formed in mid-2016 from partners with more than 100 years combined experience in the display industry. DSCC successfully organized the 2017 SID Business Track, which generated record revenues and profits, and DSCC is currently organizing the 2018 SID Business Track, with early registrations significantly exceeding the 2017 records.
